IN THE TRADITION OF WORLD CLASS SUBMERSIBLES... and sandwiches... none have truly rocked the sea until: The Rock&Roll Submarine! Well, thats how we pitched it in the concept deck. It's been 16 years since Urge Overkill's 'Saturation' hay days and the final moments before the grungetidal wave hit shore. And now the band is back to answer the question, "where you been?". To most fans the design of the submarine itself will look pretty familiar. UO has used an adapted version Unocal's '76' ball logo since they started so it was natural decision to base the fictional vessel on.
Below is the back cover; A punch-line and homage to past delictables of rock like, ZZ Top’s Tres Hombres burrito grande gate-fold , Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed and countless other salacious rock art cuisine. Dig-in, it's only Rock & Roll!
The entire package was designed as the found documents of an untold aquatic expedition. The illustrative art included traditional mediums, and plenty of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create the cover and a peek into the sub's interior quarters.
